Important marketplace point
One marketplace account can be used to hire help and, after provider setup, to offer work on other users’ jobs. “Customer” and “worker/provider” describe the person’s role on a particular job, not an exclusive account type. Every quote identifies the provider as either a business/paid-side-hustle provider or a private individual doing occasional jobs. Accepting a quote selects the provider. Successful payment forms the underlying customer–provider service contract and records the roles, provider status and legal notices shown for that checkout.

1. Who operates Nimtask and who these Terms apply to

Nimtask is operated by Sandis Niedritis, a sole trader trading as Nimtask, at 4 St davids House, Nottingham Avenue. Maidstone ME15 7PR. Contact: support@nimtask.co.uk. These Terms govern use of the Nimtask marketplace by customers and workers/providers.

Nimtask is the new trading name for the marketplace previously branded Sorted Local. The legal operator remains Sandis Niedritis, so the rebrand does not by itself replace or cancel existing accounts, jobs, payments, rights or obligations.

One registered marketplace account may post jobs and may also, after completing the required provider profile and payout setup, offer services and quote on jobs posted by other users. In these Terms, “customer” and “worker” or “provider” describe the capacity in which a user acts on a particular job; they are not mutually exclusive account types.

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account information. Before quoting, providers must declare whether they are acting as a business/paid side hustle or as a private individual doing genuinely occasional, non-business jobs. That provider declaration applies when the user offers services; it does not by itself determine whether the same user is acting as a consumer when hiring someone for a different job. If you use Nimtask for a business or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

2. Marketplace role and when a job contract is formed

Nimtask provides an online marketplace that helps customers find independent workers, exchange quotes and messages, make secure on-platform payments, manage disputes and leave transaction-linked reviews. Nimtask does not normally perform the underlying job itself.

Nimtask currently supports jobs posted with UK postcodes across the United Kingdom. Jobs may require a local visit or may be marked as suitable for remote delivery. A remote label means the parties expect that the job can be done without a visit; it does not make the marketplace a worldwide service or change the law governing these Terms.

A customer selects a worker by accepting a quote. Before acceptance and payment, the customer is shown the worker’s declared provider status and the identity information captured for that quote. A trader’s business contact details are shown before payment. For a private provider, the legal name and broad area are shown with the quote and full contract contact details are disclosed after successful payment. Accepting a quote reserves/selects that worker but does not authorise work to begin. The underlying customer–worker service contract is treated as concluded when the customer’s secure payment succeeds and Nimtask records that payment.

The customer and worker are responsible for the terms and performance of the underlying job, subject to these Terms and applicable law. Nimtask is a party to the separate marketplace/platform relationship with each user, but is not the worker’s employer, agent or partner merely because the worker uses the marketplace.

A separate contract between the user and Sandis Niedritis trading as Nimtask governs the marketplace, messaging and payment-facilitation service. The worker—not Nimtask—supplies the underlying job, whether the worker is acting as a trader or as a genuinely private provider. Using both account capabilities does not merge these contracts or change the customer/provider roles recorded for a particular transaction.

A user must not quote on a job they posted, arrange a self-transaction through another capability of the same account, or manipulate jobs, payments or reviews through connected accounts. Nothing in these Terms or a provider-status label removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

3. Responsibilities when acting as a customer

Customers must describe jobs honestly and with enough information for a worker to quote sensibly, identify accurately whether a job can be completed remotely, provide safe access where a visit is required, disclose material hazards or restrictions, and use the platform lawfully.

Customers should check any credentials, insurance, registrations or licences that are relevant to the particular job. A profile, rating, Stripe payout status or marketplace access does not mean Nimtask has independently verified every skill or qualification unless the site expressly says so.

4. Responsibilities when acting as a worker/provider

Every worker must give an accurate legal contracting name, contact address, email and phone and keep them current. Business/paid-side-hustle providers must also give their legal form, any trading name, company/LLP registration details where applicable and VAT details where applicable.

A private-provider declaration is only for genuinely occasional activity outside a business, trade or paid side hustle. It is not available merely because a worker has no company or has not registered for tax. Private providers must change to the business route before seeking jobs regularly or commercially.

Nimtask may use quote frequency, paid-job history and other relevant marketplace facts to pause private-provider activity and require classification review. These indicators are review triggers, not legal tests. A provider’s legal status depends on all relevant facts and applicable law.

Workers are independent users responsible for deciding whether they can lawfully and safely perform a job. They must quote accurately, describe skills and experience honestly, hold any legally required registrations, qualifications, licences or insurance, issue any invoice or tax document required by law, and comply with tax and other legal obligations that apply to their work.

Workers must not start merely because a quote has been accepted. They must wait for secure payment confirmation. Trader providers must then comply with the recorded early-start choice. Private providers must agree the actual start timing clearly in the job chat.

5. Quotes, budget guidance, Nimtask service fee and payment

Workers set the quoted price and must confirm that it includes VAT where applicable, taxes for which the worker must charge the customer, and every other unavoidable or mandatory charge for the quoted scope. A worker must describe any genuinely optional extra separately and must not add an undisclosed mandatory charge later.

When a customer provides a maximum all-in budget, Nimtask may use it to calculate an approximate quote-guidance range. The customer’s exact maximum is not disclosed to workers. Where guidance is made available, a worker sees only the derived range. The range is non-binding: it is not the customer’s offer, a promise that a quote will be accepted, a valuation of the job or an instruction to quote within it. Workers remain responsible for pricing the stated scope accurately, and customers remain free to accept or decline any quote.

Nimtask adds a separate customer service fee. Before quote acceptance and again before payment, the customer is shown the worker quote, the Nimtask service fee and the total amount to pay.

Payments for marketplace jobs must be made through Nimtask’s approved payment flow. Worker funds may be held until completion is confirmed and may be affected by lawful refunds, disputes, chargebacks, payment-provider requirements or other legal obligations.

The worker’s quoted amount and Nimtask’s service fee are separate parts of the total shown to the customer. Nimtask does not deduct a pay-per-lead charge from a worker simply for submitting a quote.

6. Consumer cancellation rights and starting work early

Where a customer is a consumer and the worker is acting as a trader, UK distance-contract cancellation rules may give the customer 14 days from conclusion of the worker service contract to cancel without giving a reason, unless an exception applies.

For a trader quote, checkout records two distinct choices. First, the customer must ask Nimtask to begin its marketplace/payment service immediately. Second, the customer may optionally ask the trader worker to begin the actual job during an applicable cancellation period. The first choice does not imply the second.

If the optional worker early-start request is selected and the customer later cancels after requested work has begun but before it is fully performed, applicable law may require the customer to pay a fair amount proportionate to the service already supplied up to cancellation. If the worker service is fully performed during the cancellation period after the required express request and acknowledgement, the statutory right to cancel that worker service may end to the extent permitted by law.

If the customer does not select the optional worker early-start request, payment can still proceed, but the worker is instructed not to start during an applicable cancellation period unless the customer later gives a clear request recorded in the job chat.

For a private-provider quote, checkout instead requires the customer to acknowledge prominently that statutory consumer protections applying specifically to trader-consumer contracts may not apply to the underlying worker contract. The trader-route early-start choice is not presented. Customer and worker should record their agreed start date and any cancellation arrangement in the job chat. If the facts show that the worker was actually acting as a trader, trader-consumer rights may still apply despite the declaration.

Where a statutory right to cancel the worker service contract applies, the customer should send a clear cancellation statement directly to the worker/service provider through the Nimtask job chat and identify the job. The notice itself does not require Nimtask approval. The optional cancellation template below may be used but is not mandatory.

If the job chat is unavailable, the customer can contact support@nimtask.co.uk and identify the job so Nimtask can record and route the notice to the worker.

If the customer and worker disagree about the effect of cancellation, work already supplied, or any amount payable or refundable, they should first try to resolve that disagreement through the job chat. If they cannot agree, either party may use Report a problem or contact Nimtask support for a marketplace review. This escalation process does not make statutory cancellation rights conditional on obtaining Nimtask approval.

Nimtask’s own marketplace/platform service is a separate service and may have separate consumer cancellation rights. At checkout the customer expressly asks Nimtask to start that service immediately. Any refund of the Nimtask service fee will be handled as required by applicable law, taking account of the platform service already supplied.

7. Job cancellation, no-shows, problems, disputes and refunds

Before payment, a customer can cancel a job through the available job controls. After payment, routine service problems should first be raised with the worker through the Nimtask job chat so both sides have a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue directly.

If the customer and worker cannot resolve a no-show, workmanship, scope, timing, cancellation, refund or similar job issue, either side may use Report a problem to ask Nimtask to review the marketplace record. Users should keep relevant evidence in the job chat.

When a problem is escalated before worker funds are released, Nimtask may pause payout while reviewing relevant job messages, timestamps, payment information, prior dispute/refund patterns and information supplied by both sides. Depending on the facts and applicable law, Nimtask may return the job to in-progress, release worker funds, or arrange a full or partial refund.

An internal decision does not determine or remove statutory rights. Users remain free to pursue rights or remedies available under applicable law.

8. Safety and regulated work

Nimtask must not be used for unlawful or dangerous work. Gas, electrical, asbestos, structural, medical, financial, legal, childcare, security and other regulated or high-risk work must only be requested and performed where lawful and by people holding every legally required competence, registration, certification, licence or insurance. Customers should check credentials appropriate to the job before work begins.

Users must not request or perform work that would create an unreasonable risk to people, property or the public, involve unlawful discrimination, facilitate exploitation, weapons, controlled drugs, terrorism, fraud, sexual abuse, child harm, self-harm encouragement, privacy invasion or intellectual-property infringement.

For remote computer or software help, customers must not share passwords, one-time or multi-factor authentication codes, payment-card security details, online-banking credentials or cryptocurrency recovery phrases. Workers must limit remote access to the agreed task, must not access unrelated accounts or data, and must end the remote session and remove continuing access when the task is finished.

Use the Safety & illegal-content reporting route for suspected illegal content or serious safety concerns. Urgent danger should be reported to the emergency services. Nimtask may preserve evidence, restrict access and make reports to competent authorities where required or reasonably necessary.

9. Reviews and marketplace integrity

Reviews must reflect genuine marketplace transactions and genuine experiences. Fake reviews, purchased reviews, coordinated manipulation, threats intended to influence a review, and misleading review content are prohibited.

Nimtask takes reasonable and proportionate steps to prevent and remove fake or misleading reviews. Reviews are limited to completed marketplace transactions, record whether each person acted as customer or provider on that job, may be reported, and may be marked under review or hidden after a recorded moderation decision. Customer-side and provider-side reputation must not be presented as though it arose in the same capacity. Reporting a review does not automatically hide it.

Incentivised reviews are not permitted unless the incentive is lawful, genuine and prominently disclosed. Nimtask does not permit users to suppress genuine negative reviews, manipulate aggregate ratings or selectively present reviews in a misleading way.

10. Keeping introduced work and payment on Nimtask

Jobs, customers and workers introduced through Nimtask must not be moved outside Nimtask for the purpose of avoiding platform fees, payment protections or these Terms. Users must not solicit or accept cash, direct bank transfer, external card payment or another arrangement designed to bypass the marketplace for an introduced job.

This restriction applies to the introduced job and a directly connected variation or repeat of that same job while it remains active on Nimtask. It does not create a broad exclusivity obligation over unrelated future work. Deliberate circumvention, refund abuse or collusive off-platform payment may lead to review, restrictions, suspension or termination, subject to applicable law and rights relating to funds already earned.

Risk signals can trigger human review but are not, by themselves, treated as proof of wrongdoing.

11. Complaints and alternative dispute resolution

Complaints about Nimtask’s own marketplace/platform service can be sent to support@nimtask.co.uk. Please include your account email, job ID where relevant, what happened and the outcome you are seeking. We will consider complaints reasonably and may ask for information needed to investigate.

Problems about the underlying worker service should normally be raised with the worker through the job chat first and escalated with Report a problem if the parties cannot resolve them. Nimtask’s marketplace review is an internal complaint/dispute process; Nimtask does not present itself as the independent service provider for the worker’s job or as an accredited ADR provider.

If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved through our internal process, we will provide information about an appropriate accredited alternative dispute resolution provider where applicable law requires us to do so. Unless the law requires participation or we expressly agree otherwise in writing, Nimtask does not currently promise to participate in a particular ADR scheme.

Consumers may also seek independent advice about their legal rights, including from Citizens Advice.

12. Liability

Sandis Niedritis trading as Nimtask is responsible for providing the Nimtask marketplace/platform service with the care and obligations required by law. Workers remain responsible for performing their own jobs and for loss or damage caused by their work where the law makes them responsible.

Nimtask does not guarantee that a particular worker will accept a job, attend, complete work to a particular standard, or hold a particular credential unless we expressly state that we have independently verified it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory statutory consumer rights. These Terms are not intended to create an unfair imbalance against consumers.

13. Account security, suspension, deletion and records

Users must keep accounts secure and use the service lawfully. We may restrict or suspend an account across its marketplace capabilities for material or repeated breaches, fraud, safety concerns, payment risk or legal requirements, using human review where appropriate. A provider-classification review ordinarily restricts provider activity only; a wider account restriction is used where the relevant safety, fraud, payment or legal concern justifies it.

Users may request account deletion after active marketplace obligations in both capacities are finished. This includes jobs posted, pending or accepted quotes, work being provided, unsettled customer payments, unsettled provider payouts and open disputes. We may retain or appropriately restrict transaction, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, safety and dispute records where reasonably required by law or legitimate operational obligations. Data-protection requests can still be made through support.

14. Changes to these Terms and governing law

We may update these Terms for legal, security, operational or service reasons. The current version is published on the website. Where a change is material, we will communicate it where reasonably appropriate.

Job, quote, payment, dispute and review records preserve the customer/provider roles for that transaction. A quote and payment record also stores the provider-status snapshot, Terms version and legal notice accepted for that checkout so later capability or profile changes do not rewrite the historical transaction record.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales, without depriving consumers elsewhere in the United Kingdom of mandatory protections available to them.

Provider status, cancellation & starting-work notices

Notice version: 2026-09-03-r5

When the selected worker is a trader/business

Nimtask consumer cancellation and early-performance notice — version 2026-09-03-r5

The selected worker declared that they are acting as a trader/business service provider. Where you are acting as a consumer, UK distance-contract rules may give you a right to cancel the worker service contract within 14 days after that contract is concluded, unless an exception applies.
For Nimtask marketplace jobs, the worker service contract is treated as concluded when your secure payment succeeds and Nimtask records the payment. Accepting a quote selects the worker, but the worker must not start before secure payment is confirmed.
At checkout, the required platform-service request allows Nimtask to supply its marketplace/payment service immediately. It does not, by itself, ask the worker to start the job early.
A separate worker early-start request is optional. If you select it and later cancel before the worker service is fully performed, you may have to pay a fair amount proportionate to the service already supplied up to cancellation.
If the worker service is fully performed during an applicable cancellation period after your express early-start request and acknowledgement of the effect on cancellation rights, you may lose the right to cancel that service to the extent permitted by law.
If you do not select the optional worker early-start request, the worker is told not to start during an applicable 14-day cancellation period unless you later make a clear, recorded request that the worker may do so.
To cancel the worker service contract where a statutory cancellation right applies, send a clear cancellation statement to the worker/service provider through the Nimtask job chat and identify the job. The notice itself does not need Nimtask approval, and you do not have to use the optional cancellation template in the Terms.
If the job chat is unavailable, contact support@nimtask.co.uk and identify the job so Nimtask can record and route the notice. This is a fallback, not a requirement to ask Nimtask for permission to cancel.
If there is a disagreement about the effect of a cancellation, work already supplied, a no-show, a refund or an amount payable, the customer and worker should first try to resolve that disagreement through the job chat. If they cannot agree, either side can use Report a problem or contact Nimtask support for a marketplace review.
Nimtask’s internal refund/dispute process does not replace or reduce any statutory consumer rights that apply.
Your contract with Sandis Niedritis trading as Nimtask for the marketplace/platform service may have separate statutory rights. Any service-fee refund will be handled as required by applicable law, taking account of the platform service already supplied.

When the selected worker is a private individual

Nimtask private-provider status and contract notice — version 2026-09-03-r5

The selected worker declared that they are acting as a private individual doing genuinely occasional jobs, rather than as a trader or business for this service.
Certain statutory consumer protections that apply to a contract between a consumer and a trader—including the standard distance-contract cancellation process—may not apply to the underlying worker service contract. You may still have contractual or other legal rights. A platform label does not decide legal status: the facts and applicable law do.
For Nimtask marketplace jobs, the worker service contract is treated as concluded when your secure payment succeeds and Nimtask records the payment. Accepting a quote selects the worker, but the worker must not start before secure payment is confirmed.
The trader-route 14-day early-start control is not applied to this private-provider contract. Agree the actual start date and any cancellation arrangement clearly in the Nimtask job chat before work begins.
At checkout, the required platform-service request allows Nimtask to begin supplying its separate marketplace/payment service immediately. It does not tell the worker to start the job.
If the worker is in fact acting for business purposes despite the declaration, consumer law may still treat them as a trader and trader-consumer rights may apply.
If there is a disagreement about cancellation, work supplied, a no-show, a refund or an amount payable, the customer and worker should first try to resolve it in the job chat. Either side can then use Report a problem or contact Nimtask support for a marketplace review.
Nimtask’s internal refund/dispute process does not replace or reduce any rights that apply under law.
Your contract with Sandis Niedritis trading as Nimtask for the marketplace/platform service is separate and may carry its own statutory consumer rights. Any service-fee refund will be handled as required by applicable law, taking account of the platform service already supplied.
